Case For Sunscreen of the Day: This man is 69 years old.

He drove a truck for 28 years.

The premature aging from sun damage to the left side of his face is extensive enough to warrant a feature in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Trucker or not, don’t forget your sunscreen.

I AM NEVER GOING WITHOUT SUNSCREEN AGAIN. OMG.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a meteorologist.

I’m not sure what the allure was relative to all things celestial, but it was enticing to me. As a child I was in such awe of things that were larger than myself…things I couldn’t control…things that were way bigger than anything I could ever imagine. The thought that the same sun or moon or stars that I was seeing could also be seen by someone on the other side of the world was an awesome feeling. These elements were some of the few things that truly bonded people together all over the world. It is our commonality.

Whenever I’m feeling troubled or need some time to think, I still always confide in the stars and moon. They have a way of making me feel okay. They put everything into perspective for me.  I feel so insignificant whenever I stare deeply into the eyes of the night and it makes my problems feel insignificant too, but not in the bad way.

At the end of the day, things could always be worse. Things aren’t perfect, but that’s aright. Perfection is relative, and I might lose my zeal for life if I ever reach perfection. Who actually wants to have everything they want?

I’ve strayed far from the life of a meteorologist, but I’ve learned some important lessons from its most important asset—the sky. Every so often we can’t forget to just fucking stop and contemplate how amazing the world is.
